From her early beginnings at Gasper Law Group, transitioning from a criminal law legal assistant to a family law paralegal, to embarking on her current role at Gendelman Klimas Edwards (GKE) in 2022, Kiersten’s journey in the legal field has been anything but ordinary. After the delight of welcoming twins and completing her bachelor's degree during a maternity leave, there was no place Kiersten would rather have continued her career than at GKE. Kiersten finds that the supportive and respectful culture here uniquely aligns with her professional and personal values, providing a nurturing environment for growth.

Advocacy Through Empathy and Expertise

Although she is currently preparing for law school and busy studying for the LSAT, her role as a paralegal is driven by a deep passion for educating and assisting others through the often-complex landscape of legal matters. Working at GKE, Kiersten finds herself constantly inspired to use her legal knowledge to guide our clients, especially those inexperienced with the legal system, through high-conflict cases like adoption, custody arrangements, divorce, and name changes. Each challenge in family law is an opportunity for comprehensive problem-solving, compassion, and creativity.

Collaborative Solutions and Support

At GKE, Kiersten’s approach to case preparation embodies collaboration and empathy. With a preference for Alternative Dispute Resolution, she works diligently alongside attorneys to foster cooperation between parties, especially when co-parenting dynamics are involved. Nevertheless, when the case calls for it, Kiersten supports a more assertive approach to ensure justice and fairness for our clients.

Beyond Work: Advocacy and Well-being

Life beyond the office finds Kiersten training for a half-marathon, spending precious time with her family in Colorado's great outdoors, reading, gardening, and volunteering. Her advocacy extends to supporting survivors of domestic violence, immigrant rights, and equality initiatives. Kiersten’s unique perspective and dedicated advocacy make her a committed ally for our clients, offering unwavering support, flexibility, and understanding tailored to their unique needs.
