Finding Purpose Through Advocacy

At the heart of Sydney’s career lies a dedication to making a real difference, especially in the lives of children and families facing the upheaval of domestic violence disputes. Although she is not an attorney (yet), she is profoundly involved with Greyson's Choice, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting children and families caught in such challenging circumstances. This vital role allows Sydney to channel her personal experiences into meaningful advocacy, fostering support systems for those who need them most.

A Career Fueled by Personal Experience

The journey that led Sydney to this career is deeply personal. Inspired by her family's own story with family law, her path was profoundly impacted by the tragic loss of her four-year-old cousin, Greyson Kessler, in 2021. This devastating event has been a catalyst for Sydney’s commitment to preventing similar tragedies across the nation. Every year, far too many children fall victim to violence by their own parents—a calamity that can often be avoided with proper intervention and support. Sydney’s grief drives her to advocate for change and to help families navigate the challenges of family disputes.

The Joys of the Workplace

There are few things as fulfilling as working in an environment that prioritizes the well-being of its clients and staff. Sydney finds immense satisfaction in arriving each day at a workplace that genuinely cares. This compassionate atmosphere not only encourages her but strengthens her resolve to advocate for those without a voice.

Life Beyond Work

To maintain balance amid advocacy and support roles, Sydney immerses herself in activities that rejuvenate her spirit. Whether it's losing herself in a fiction book, engaging in board games or video games, or adventuring outdoors with her two cats, Nimbus and Artemis, Sydney cherishes these moments. Additionally, she finds solace and expression in writing and performing slam poetry, as well as participating in multiple Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.

In every aspect of her life, from personal passions to her professional endeavors, Sydney strives to inspire change and promote advocacy. Through her work, she hopes to create a world where children are safe, and families are supported—honoring Greyson's memory and transforming her grief into action.
